Do not take Orthovisc if you are allergic to hyaluronate products; also, avoid Orthovisc if you allergic to poulty products (poultry, feathers, eggs, etc.). Refrain from injections if you have any infections, or damaged skin around the knee.

Hyaluronan is a high molecular weight polysaccharide composed of repeating disaccharide units of sodium glucuronate and N-acetylglucosamine.
